Garlic Noodles (蒜泥乾麵)

This noodle stand is located in Changrong Rd. sec. 4 number 73. It is in the North Dist. of Tainan City. The name of the noodle stand is called Shi- Fu Noodle Stand (添福麵館). It is just located infront of the Taiwanese baseball player Chien Ming Wang.
This is the street where the noodle stand is located.

The owner of the shop are husband and wife. They both work very hard to pleased their customers.

The wife is cooking and be ready for the business. Their employees can not get the money, so the customers have to pay to the owner of the store.

I ordered wonton soup. Their wonton soup is very good. Other places will just give me 5 wontons, ut this place, it will come up like 10 wontons in one bowl. The price is not too expensive. It will cost $20 NT dollars for this bowl of soup.

Alan doesn't eat garlic, so he ordered penut noodle with meat. We ordered small bowl, and it will come up very big. It will cost $25 NT dollars for one bowl of noodles like this.

The owner of the shop, the husband makes noodles. The noodles that they serve to the customers are hand made. The taste of the noodles are so much different from other places. It doesn't get too hard or too soft after cooking.

He is very busy making the noodles.

We really enjoyed eating there once in a while. Also their little snake or finger food are not very expensive. One egg will cost $5 NT dollars, Tofu will cost 2 for $5 NT dollars and more. If you eat too much, you can order a big bowl of noodles for extra $5 NT dollars. You can try this place.

蔡氏水晶餃

This little food shop is well known for its crystal dumplins. The owner of this hop is my father-in-law's classmate. When my father-in-law, Kevin was very young, The shop's grandfather already gave the bussiness to Kevin's classmate's father. Now his father is having some health problems, so the shop gave to Kevin's classmate.

The crystal sumplins is very nice to eat. The outer skin is very transparent, it could see the meat inside.

The soup is so nice also, the price is ok. A bowl of it costs $40 NT dollars. you can buy some of the crystal dumplins and take it home and cook. You cna buy from $50 above.

為一家近百年曆史，家傳三代的老店，專營手工制水晶餃、蒸丸等面點。尤其是玲瓏小巧的水晶餃，外皮由地瓜粉加糯米製成，內餡則是豬肉加上獨家配料，煮熟後色澤透明，再加上大骨湯，即成一碗香味四溢的點心。不過這裡早上賣的是未經烹煮的生食，想品嘗老闆現煮的水晶餃，則下午4點以後才供應。

王罔麵線糊

When my father-in-law were young, this hop was already there. This shop runs for three generations. When my father-in-law were young, the owners' grandparents were ready to retired, and thier son comes to sell the food. Now, his son is going to take over it. It is not yet happening, but we could see the owner's son was helping.

王罔麵線糊 is famous for rice noodles soup. It is not soupy, but it is kind of creamy soup with noodles. The size of the meat is really big. Each bowl of noodles will have at least three pieces of meat.

This is the shop, a lot of people is over there. The owner's children are helping in family bussiness.

A lot of poeople were waiting. If you go during lunch time, there's no seat, and you have to wait for long. We went there around 1 PM and there still have a lot of people waiting and eating. Some people will buy a lot to take out. We usually eat there, and buy 4 bowls to take home.

The bowl of noodles will look like this. It is so delicious. Before it costs $20 NT Dollars one bowl, now it costs $25 NT Dollars a bowl. If you want extra meat on it, you have to pay extra $20 NT Dollars.

天寶小吃

This is 天寶小吃 food stand. This food stand is famous for oysters. There's all kinds of oysters. There's soup oyster, noodles oyster, and fried oysters. This little shop runs already for two generations.

When my parents-in-law were young, this shop was already there. Now, the owner of he shop is etting older so their son is taking care of this shop now. Here is the menu of the shop. It has everything from small size to bigger size. All kind of prices.

This is the oyster soup, it is so delicious. Alan and I really enjoy eating this. if you go for lunch time, you won't have seat. You have to wait for long. No reservations, no credit cards, cash only.

Traditional Soup Noodle

Traditional Soup Noodles (鍋燒意麵) is located very close to Chihkan Tower, there's a lane next to parking lot. This noodles stand ran from one generation to another generation now. This bowl of soup noodles is kind of expensive, but it is delicious. The soup is so special with different taste.

If you do not like thin noodles, you can choose all three kinds of noodles like thick noodles, rice noodles and yellow noodles. Also, there's hot and sour noodles, too. More than noodles, they will sale dumplings, too. Each dumpling cost $3.5 NT dollars. It is expensive compares to another place.

Each bowl of noodles costs $60 NT dollars.

If you want to go there, go earlier, not during lunch time, otherwise, you have to wait for a long time.

Food In Tainan (台南美食)

Tainan is as famous for its cuisine as it is for being Taiwan's center of traditional culture and religion. There's food such as fried shrimp rolls, egg noodle shops, and local speciality. In addition to traditional Taiwanese foods, Tainan has become a foster home to cuisine from all around Asia.

Koriya (可利亞)

KO RI YA Restaurant is hard to miss, this is a "smokeless charcoal fire barbecue with hot pot" and an all-you-can-eat buffet.

On weekdays the set rate is NT$299 - NT$399 (depending on your choice of meats), which gives you access to a fruit and salad bar and a selection of drinks. But the main feature is the barbeque.

Each of the semi-private booths has three holes, in which two detachable barbeques and a hot pot can be placed.

The friendly staff will then bring you an assortment of meats, which you grill yourself. The middle hole is for the hot pot, to which you add vegetables to your own taste. And if you feel a bit nervous about grilling your own, the staff are on hand to show you how.

The vegetable hot pot is available on its own for NT$199. On weekends the prices increase to NT$329 - NT$429, with the vegetable hot pot going for NT$219.

KO RI YA can accommodate group bookings, but non-Chinese speakers should note that there is no English available.

Now, we can enjoy a wonderful Egyptian food in Tainan city in Taiwan. Bosa is the only one Egyptian restaurant here in town. Many Tainan citizens like to eat different kinds of food from different cultures.

The food is very nice, they have from salad to main dish. The main dish includes salad, soup, desserts, and drinks. The Egyptian ice tea is very nice.

The good thing is over the weekends, we can enjoy the belly dance at that restaurant. The dish might be expensive but you can enjoy 20 minute show.






The owner of the resturant is an authentic Egyptian cook married to a Taiwanese woman. Both of them are very kind and polite, they made us to feel comfortable at their restaurants.
This is my favorite dish, Grilled chicken kebabs with vegetables and Egyptian rice.




Many of my coworkers ordered Stewed beef with vegetables on Egyptian rice. It looks good, too, but I prefer my kebabs.


The dessert looks good too with nice decoration. I really like the taste of it. It is nice and delicious.



Overall, the food was fantastic, everything was so great. I will bring my family over there, next time.

Make sure you make your own reservations before you go over there. Also, the restaurat offers a nice Egyptian breakfast, too for $160 NT dollars.

Kiss Ice

葡萄雪屋 3球60元這裡的雪屋有大、小兩種，大的4球、小的3球。圖為3球的葡萄雪屋，不論大雪屋還是小雪屋，裡頭除了「現炒」的鮮果冰淇淋外，還添加了香果圈、格格脆、巧克力餅、巧克力醬和脆笛酥，不但製造出繽紛的色彩，還讓整體口感更佳。

火龍果雪屋 4球80元這裡的冰淇淋都是以屋頂造型的餅殼盛裝，所以稱為「雪屋」。新奇的鮮果炒冰使用新鮮水果和植物性原料製成的冰淇淋粉，製冰過程未經過濾，碰到有籽的水果，還會吃得到籽的碎粒。圖中的冰淇淋為火龍果口味，清淡香甜、口感綿密，非常特別。

奇異果甜筒 2球50元為了方便逛賣場的消費者，近期將推出甜筒造型的「鮮果炒冰」，價位暫定2球50元。奇異果口味為清淡的果酸味，很有夏天的味道。
